Among the great occultists of the 1900s emerges, immense, the figure of Oswald Wirth – student of Stanislas de Guaita, an important French occultist.

Oswald Wirth was a healer, astrologer, and author of the 22 Arcana of the Cabbalistic Tarot.

Wirth, aided by Guaita, based his tarot on the Tarot of Marseilles, incorporating modifications suggested by Eliphas Levi. This work appears to have been limited to the major arcana cards only. It was first published in 1889. Recreated according to Wirth’s specifications, this great occultist’s work is now available within the UNIVERSAL WIRTH TAROT, which also features an additional 56 illustrated minor arcana.
